How we work
Every case follows the same five steps: request, written quote, documents, filing, handover. You see the scope, the list of documents and the indicative fee in writing before any work starts.
Step 1. What do you send us?
A short email to [email protected] or the request form on the home page. Three facts are enough for a first answer:
- your citizenship and where you live now;
- what you need in Bulgaria: an EOOD, VAT registration, a bank account, a work or residence permit, a property check;
- the documents you already hold and the date you are aiming for.
Do not send passport scans at this stage. We ask for copies only once you accept the quote.
Step 2. What is in the written quote?
The scope of our work, the documents we need from you, our fee and the costs paid to third parties. Our fees are “from” prices listed on the Fees page. Indicative prices; the final quote depends on your case.
Government and registry fees, notary fees, sworn translations and apostilles are not part of our fee. The quote names each of them and who is paid, so nothing appears later as a surprise line. Where we have no published package — residence by investment or the digital nomad permit, for example — we quote after reading your case rather than guess a number.
Step 3. How are the documents prepared?
Scans first, originals later. We check each scan against the checklist of the authority that will receive the file and tell you what is missing, what needs an apostille and what must be translated into Bulgarian.
- We draft the forms and founding documents: articles of association, declarations, powers of attorney.
- We order sworn translations into Bulgarian.
- We tell you which papers must be signed before a notary, in Bulgaria or at a consulate abroad.
Step 4. Who receives the file?
It depends on the service. Company registrations go to the Commercial Register kept by the Registry Agency. Tax and VAT registrations go to the National Revenue Agency. Residence documents for foreigners are issued by the Migration Directorate; a work permit starts with the employer’s application before the permit itself is issued.
After filing we track the case and pass on any request for extra documents the same way we collected the first ones. The processing time is set by the authority, not by us, and where an authority does not publish one, we do not invent it.
Step 5. What do you get at the end?
The document the authority issued — a registration entry, a VAT certificate, a permit decision — together with a short written note of your next obligations: renewals, annual filings, tax registration dates.
Copies of everything we filed on your behalf stay with you. If you later change provider, the file moves with you.
What do we do, and what do others do?
- We: check eligibility, collect and review documents, draft forms, arrange translations, file, follow up and report back.
- The authority (Registry Agency, National Revenue Agency, Migration Directorate, a consulate): reviews the file and takes the decision. Nobody can promise its outcome, and we do not.
- A notary: certifies signatures and deeds, for example a property sale contract. The notary fee is paid to the notary.
- A licensed Bulgarian advocate: represents clients in court and in appeals. We do not; if your case needs this, the quote says so.
What do we not take on?
- Citizenship by investment: Bulgaria abolished it in 2022. We explain the alternatives instead.
- Buying land as a non-EU citizen in your own name: the law does not allow it. We check purchases of buildings, or of land through a company.
- Court representation and appeals.
